APAP = Automatic Positive Airway Pressure

A bilevel machine that can also adjust pressures automatically.
ASV = Adaptive Servo-Ventilation

IMPORTANT NOTE: The right machine and settings should come from a clinician or sleep specialist.
Why APAP?
Why APAP
Auto-adjusting positive airway pressure can change pressure levels through the night as breathing needs change, which may improve comfort and treatment tolerance for many adults with obstructive sleep apnea. Providers use auto-adjusting machines to avoid an in-lab titration to determine proper treatment pressure.
